About Chee-bog
Serving Filipino home-style cooking.
Located at 300 1/2 Ontario St, Cohoes, NY 12047, Chee-bog operates as a filipino restaurant serving Cohoes in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Cohoes, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 1 day of the week. On most of those days it is open 12β7 PM. Note that it does not open on Thursday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 183 reviews, which is a strong result for a filipino restaurant in Cohoes and suggests consistent service.
Cohoes is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Cohoes peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Phenomenal Filipino food and a cute space. A strong aroma of delishious home cooking wafts out the door. Champ is a great guy who makes great food. Highly Recommend this spot to anyone. Props for the simple and effective website with an easily accessed menu/ordering system. Easily the best option for Filipino that Ive tried for miles.

So happy to have finally visited! Chee-bog has freshly prepared flavorful filipino food. They have a limited set of options but some thing to please everyone, and dishes are made to order. The lumpia were crispy and the chicken adobo was super tender. Everything was well seasoned, we got the dishes with garlic rice. There are a few seats inside, and I love the fresh interior with a vibrant mural, bright colors, and the stainless steel open kitchen. Service was very friendly and reasonably quick, though this is not βfast foodβ

Amazing food as always especially the lechon kawali and lumpia!!!! My cravings were definitely satisfied, and the drive was absolutely worth it. The prices are reasonable considering how delicious everything is. The staff is very friendly and approachable, which adds to the overall experience. There is usually about a 20-minute wait for the food, and the space is quite small, but I genuinely hope theyβre able to expand in the future because they deserve it. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would gladly recommend this place to everyone.

I chose this place for our quick stop from Vermont and it didnβt disappoint. The food tasted legit and I actually finished the fried rice despite the hefty portion. The owner (Iβm assuming) was friendly and seemed passionate about his food. I wish this was closer to NYC so we could come back but regardless, this place deserves a five star. Wishing you guys continued success! We ordered the inihaw na baboy (grilled pork) and longsilog (with picture attached) and both were equally as delicious.
